At JC Tree & Grounds Maintenance, we aim to provide a professional, reliable, and transparent service at all times. The following Trading Terms outline how we operate and form the basis of all work undertaken.
Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Quotations are based on the site conditions at the time of inspection and may be subject to change if conditions differ when work is carried out.
Acceptance of Work
Acceptance of a quotation, whether verbal, written, or electronic, confirms agreement to our Terms & Conditions and Trading Terms.
Pricing and Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments. All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.
Cancellations
Customers have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting a quotation. If work is requested to begin within this period, charges may apply for work already completed or costs incurred.
Access to Site
Customers must ensure safe and clear access to the work area. Any known hazards, underground services, or restrictions must be disclosed prior to work commencing. We cannot be held responsible for delays or damage caused by undisclosed information.
Standard of Work
All work is carried out in accordance with industry best practices and British Standard BS3998 where applicable. Due to the natural characteristics of trees, results may vary depending on species and condition.
Waste Removal
Unless otherwise agreed, all waste generated during the works will be removed from site. We are committed to environmentally responsible practices and aim to recycle 100% of waste.
Damage and Responsibility
While every care is taken, tree work can involve working in difficult environments, and minor disturbance to surrounding areas such as lawns or flowerbeds may occur. We hold appropriate insurance but are not liable for indirect or unforeseen damage.
Permissions
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any required permissions, including Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) or Conservation Area restrictions, are obtained prior to work commencing unless agreed otherwise.
Delays
We are not liable for delays caused by weather conditions, access issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
Health and Safety
We operate in line with current health and safety legislation and carry out risk assessments where required to ensure safe working practices at all times.
Insurance and Qualifications
JC Tree & Grounds Maintenance holds all necessary insurances and relevant qualifications to carry out work safely, professionally, and in accordance with industry standards.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 7 days of completion. We will aim to resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
